Story for @/Dropout for their dragon Noe
Child of the lightweaver
A creation of the lightweaver that wasn’t a mistake

It is foretold about the mysterious lightweaver and what he will do next. His land is filled with leftover stories from the past. Long ago the first emperor emerged from the deadly darkness killing anything that stood before him. The lightweaver felt lots of guilt for his mistake looking down upon his children from the beyond he noticed an egg that laid still by other destroyed marble pillars in the Mirrorlight Promenade. Something about it had fascinated him. The lightweaver bringing glorious was not something new, they may even say he’s the sun himself. Shining a light down from above like a spotlight he gave the egg all the attention. However dragons had yet to notice the egg. Either they would walk past it or acknowledge it but then walk away. That is until a wildclaws came stumbling on his feet falling on the ground with a thump. Crack. crack. The egg was soon to hatch. The noise startled the wildclaws as he managed to pull himself up.

“Hello? Who’s there.” The wildclaw growled looking around his surroundings. He didn’t notice anything out of the ordinary but he was rushing to get back his lair. He had to visit a conference between all scientist of sornieth he always wanted to visit since he was a hatchling. With his best interest in Scientology who wouldn’t go to the big conference. Crack... The noise appeared once again. Not trying tho worry about it he headed on his way back home. But he turned his head around to finally see the cracked egg that glistened upon the sun’s light. It puzzled him how the egg even got here it wasn’t hard getting lost in light. Maybe his mother left him here. All the questions gave him sheer curiosity where the egg had come from. He slowly turned around and hesitated looking at the egg. Something about it... it just gave him a lot of energy. Like the lightweaver himself was urging him the pick up the egg.

He didn’t really mind fostering an egg to himself. Especially since the egg was very peculiar and seemed to be broken. A hole stood silently with what seemed to be a skydancer beak thrusting his way out of the egg. It wailed and gurgled the wildclaw looked at it patiently and picked it up in his claws. Walking away from the original spot the skydancer was able to get out of the eggshell and as spot as it emerged a light shimmered out of it’s eyes almost blinding to the wildclaw. “Hey! Hey! What the? How are you doing that?” He said holding on hand on his eye. The skydancer looked confused of what it justdid to the wildclaw but it laughed afterwards like it was a joke.

“That’s absolutely incredible. I’ll have to look at you more once I get home. Otherwise stay in the shell.” The wildclaw demanded. The skydancer nodded and popped the shell back on it’s head and it sat there silently. Arriving home the many dragons of the lair admired the hatchling’s powers. But being interesting it must be controlled and handled carefully. Since they are a hatchling they are young and naive. Usually not telling between injury and what’s a joke. The wildclaw decided to raise the skydancer to himself and study this mysterious power. He introduced himself as Astraeus and told him all about his exciting journeys and experiments that even made the little skydancer fall asleep. That feeling came to him again something that felt like the lightweaver was calling to him. A feeling of glory that ran through his veins. “I’ll name you noe. You give me a sense of peace and joy. I’m very excited to have you.” Astraeus muttered to the hatchling as he fell sleep on his desk.

Growing up with Noe was difficult. A little skydancer with light bending powers you would never know what you’re going to get but blinded in the eye.. Astraeus didn’t know much about controlling powers however there was a lair nearby that had an interest with the skydancer. While growing up they seen that Noe can use their powers to good use. With the use of solar powered technology in the lair Noe was seemingly playing around one and it made it work like she was in control of it. For Noe being the light worker seemed hard for her but she was able to warm up to it. Many of the dragons love and see her as someone they needed. Being helpful in the lair had benefited all the dragons. But one secret that was yet to be remembered. How were they capable of such powers.

Sins of the father
Nobody said saving lives was easy.

The plaguelands seemed quiet. Almost too quiet for Erebus. Easily enough scavenging the lands with all the rotted bodies and bones. Survival was the only way the live safely often times it’s just an endless war zone. Prey was rarely plentiful in the wandering contagion dead dragons was often a go to for food. Vampires , usually craving blood, find it easy to manageable here. But bloodlust isn’t something Erebus hungered for. Yes needing blood to sustain himself he rather clear the wounds of the dragon the biting them. Many don’t believe him being an actual doctor due to him being a vampire but he sees the fear as jealousy. Looking down the horizon he sighed and waited for his mate to return for the day her hatchlings would hatch. But she has yet been seen by him. With the eggs cracking and the sheer sense of worry he paced around the nest. He knew she was busy but she could of came back for the eggs right? Maybe she will return to see them.

He settled himself down and watched the eggs hatch while making an awkward smile. The first to hatch was one that looked like his father he had his eyes and he surely had his teeth. As the hatchling yawned he noticed the two small fangs emerging from the darkness of his front teeth. Entering the hatching room was Evesa panting frantically like she had been running forever. “My apologies dear have I missed anything?” She proceeded to catch her breathe. “No no you’re just in time look this one just hatched!” Erebus assured her pointing to the fellow smaller vampire. The other eggs seemed to be hatching as well but Evesa had her focus the little firstborn. His eyes were so beautiful like a light upon the shadowlands. She held him with his claws and placed him on his chest. He could hear her heartbeat slowly skipping a beat with his. “Oh my dear. You’re my little Goldstone.” Evesa muttered watching the hatchling fall silently asleep in her arms.

Growing up in his home his siblings usually played with him and enjoyed meals together. Being siblings Goldstone seemingly was favored by his parents than the others. But they didn’t really pay attention to that because he treated his siblings the same. Sometimes he and his father would go and study medicine and herbs. His interest in being a doctor made the love of reading more enjoyable. He always would go to the library and claim into the latter and read on his father’s deals without his permission. It was his own life of crime. But while the other siblings didn’t mind one of his sisters had a sense of jealousy... Shaniya. She wanted to be recognized by her parents and been seen as something great. She tries her upmost best to impress her parents but they don’t seem to pay much attention to her. She gathered up all the other hatchlings while Gold was away. “ What do you all feel about Gold?” She uttered.

“Best brother ever!” The youngest brother named flesher called out immediately the others nodded after him. Shadniya crossed her arms and interrupted him “SHUT UP! You all pander to such and entitled brat. Don’t you see? When’s the last time you got to get anything special from mom and dad.” The siblings frowned and looked at each other. “Exactly. That’s why we must get rid of him to get what we want.” Shadniya chuckled sinisterly. The other siblings hesitated for a moment. The thought of getting rid of their older brother pained them to their core especially flesher. “We can’t do that..” Valore murmured to flesher. “I known..” Flesher sighed. “Well? If you all aren’t going to do it I’ll do it myself. If you tell mom and dad what happens you’re all next.” Shadniya snapped and stomped away.

After that Shadniya had tried to come up with plans to get rid of Gold and to trick her siblings as well. With all the jealousy and anger in her heart she had no sympathy for Gold and wouldn’t care if he was dead or alive. She thought this was it. She thought she could finally win her parents love by doing this. She told Gold to come into her room. In her room was a huge cauldron with many mysterious potions her having an interest in becoming a mage interested Goldstone. With her power and his power they could become a combo of healing and magic. “I see you have a fine interest in being a mage.” Goldstone chuckled. “Well is that not obvious?” Shadniya sniggered. Gold laughed and watched her pick up a green potion. “Since I love and trust you so much my dear brother. I’ll let you try out one of my potions. This one will just give you a high pitched voice for a few minutes nothing else.” Shadniya lied holding out the potion. Goldstone hesitated, what if the potion wasn’t tested? She trusted him so it should be good of course. He held the potion and gulped it down.

He felt something was wrong with him like his face was mutating. He held his hands on his face and wobbled around the room knocking into stuff. “Goodbye brother...” Shadniya muttered and followed with a maniac laugh. But he wasn’t dead yet his face was transformed into what looked like a sinister wraith hound. “WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME...” Goldstone growled letting go of his face and roaring at her. “T-this wasn’t apart of the plan...” Shadniya staggered back to the wall. “LOOK WHAT YOU HAVE DONE. I LOOK LIKE A MONSTER.” Goldstone exclaimed and ran out of her room.

He was a monster. A wraith hound in disguise. How could he be a doctor looking like this. Will patients fear him? All these questions left him in a panic as he looked upon the night sky.
