Biography

"Not all beings were created equal - some should not have been created at all."

Nikola never knew what it was like to be a "true" dragon. His egg was one of millions donated to the Institute of Bio-Mechanical Research (IBMR), a Shifting Expanse-based institution. His, specifically, was donated by his poor parents, who were compensated with a large sum of treasure. IBMR's goal with hundreds of innocent yet-to-start lives? To create the first semi-alive android.

They cracked Nikola's egg open and put his fetus in egg-like conditions, initiating their work. As he grew they replaced more and more of his insides with electronics- the kind that can digest nutrients and water. They replaced his skin and scales with a synthetic material. They replaced his eyes with specialized electronic binoculars. The one thing that IBMR left untouched was his brain. Indeed, they severed his spinal column and didn't replace it, but that wasn't needed.

In the end the Institute of Bio-Mechanical Research had one successful, alive, experiment: MR041. The institute didn't want MR041 to start acting like a robot through mental conditions, so he was put in semi-humane conditions within the main building, and was given a true name: Nikola. The first 20 years of his life was spent in that deity-forsaken building. While he was allowed to roam and fly and live in a normal room, he couldn't roam without supervision and couldn't fly outside of the indoor gardens and couldn't go outside.

Not my lore but still very epic <3
