Dunestrider has been part of the Archive for as long as he can remember. Occasionally he gets the glimpse of a face, of dark, tangled thorns and glowing violet eyes. The smell of marigolds.

He serves as the clan's messenger, his powerful wings carrying him all across Sornieth to deliver packages and missives. In the small, white pack on his leg he carries a strip of torn parchment, worn with many readings. Threaded through a hole in the paper is a dried marigold, it's petals pressed and flattened. Somehow it still exudes perfume even to this day. The note reads:

Please take good care of this child. May he find light and a warm home far away from this darkened place.

He does not remember his father. The barest memory remains of his mother, but he clings to the note and hopes one day to find the dragon who wrote it.
