Farstrider

"You know, sometimes I come up here to think, to feel the breeze and just float" Farstrider told her sister Shadow. They were high up in the sky, overlooking the kingdom and all its shocking beauty. Below her she could see the small salutes of other dragons and their familiars, hers was in her room in the castle.

"I never knew how peaceful it is up here, wow. I thought it was always cold and way to bright." Shadow said, hitting a current and causing her to falter in the air for a second.

"Ya. When I'm not doing my palace runs for the Queen, I come up here and watch everything"
She floated on the breeze with her eye closed, soaking in sunshine. She could feel a storm coming in from the east, but that was still hours away. Lots of time to enjoy the rest of the day.

"You really did take after mom didn't you, you got her speed and her looks. Wish I had something from her" Shadow said sadly, looking down on the Kingdom sadly. The tear she has dried up instantly from the wind.

Their parents both died in the war, fighting with the lightning clan. The Queen and King allowed them to stay and live their days here.

Farstrider became the fastest dragon in the clan, taking up after their mother. She became a guard for the Queen and King and thanks to that, both of them live in the castle and never have to worry about finding a cave to live in.

"Hey, just because I have our mothers speed doesn't mean you don't have something from either of them. you have mothers looks and her way with words. No one can win an argument with you, it's not possible." Farstrider said, giving Shadow a reassuring, but hefty, wing tap causing Shadow to roll and start falling to the ground.

With a laugh they started diving to the ground so Farstrider could make it in time for her meetup with Shieldbreaker for tonight's guard sift on the north border.....
