Biography
Mirai had a good start to their life. They were born with two siblings, a loving mother and father, and a home in the Starwood Strand filled with all the luxury a dragon could ever want. But this life didn't suit him. He had a need to explore and to fight. He was still a hatchling, so he couldn't leave.
Enter a Pearlcatcher named Lindar. From the start, Mirai was there for his friend, helping him escape his home life and convincing his parents to take pity on the hatchling.
Lindar did the same in return. After they ran into a fierce boar that nearly gave Mirai a fatal wound, the Pearlcatcher fought back to defend his friend from getting hurt further. That incident caused Mirai to loose a leg, but after some lessons with a professional in the art of arcane magic, he was able to walk again using his powers.
However that incident also gave Mirai the justification to ask his parents for him and Lindar to be able to train somewhere so he could improve his magic. They were of course scared and confused, but they gave in and allowed both to leave with the condition that they would meet with the leaders of the clan they choose to go.
A few days of searching the marketplace, Lindar bumped into a very long Imperial named Sagebreeze. Turns out he was looking for some new members to join the Dandelion Clan. Mirai said that he and Lindar could join if his leader talked with his parents.
A long session with Clover and Ruby yielded a positive result: they were allowed into the clan. It was still small at the time, so Mirai and Lindar were sent to help find food and protect the clan nearly daily.
One dragon among the crowd caught their attention: Aether, a Spiral born the same day as Lindar. They was rather aloof, always attempting to sneak off in the middle of the night, much to the annoyance of Acacia, a Mirror who was tasked with keeping an eye on them. They always had their eyes set on the sky, and meticulously practiced their magic even before they were old enough to leave the clan under adult supervision.
Mirai decided to become Aether's friend right away. The first dozen or so attempts didn't go too well. The Spiral would either walk away or give growls towards his face.
Undeterred, Mirai kept on trying. Day by day, Aether stopped growling at him, and Lindar joined along to help befriend the dragon. The three of them eventually became a strange trio that were dead set on keeping their bond together and making sure the other was fine.
Mirai in the meantime was one of the first to join Haddock under the newly formed Bladewings. While neither Aether nor Lindar wanted to join living with the other Wildclaws, he was permitted to live with his friends so long as he kept up his training. So the three of them decided to train together.
