Amère Sucrée/ Bitter Sweet
From her lips is magic breathed, all that from which she reads

"You are cursed" the words sounded so far away, matter of fact and yet there was an edge of sadness in them as they rolled around in Sucrée's ear and burrowed in. "How dare she, how dare that dragon call me cursed!" Sucrée found it hard to keep conscious, what had that she~dragon done to her. It was she, not the unusual she~dragon, who had carefully guided Lumiere and Justinian thru the edges of shadow domain listening to the chitters and clacks of her beloved mountain beetle as he guided them. Along the way she had noticed a jeweler wisp following her after they had finally gotten out of the darkness tho beautiful that was the tangled wood. She had heard of dragons that went in and never found their way out and she wasn't going to let that happen to either of her companions. The light domain had been so bright but empty so it had felt and tho she was not one for being around a lot of beings, the 'lope and the mirror dragon, had like her mountain beetle and now the little jeweler had been accepted into her company.

Her eyes hurt so badly, at first it was just the right one that was burning and blurry from the little glowing light from the Wisp Willow grove that had flew or floated it was hard to even think she had keep trying to blink it out and still did her best to remain focused to get them all free of the shadow domain. The burning had finally eased a bit when she had looked into the other dragons eyes that glowed so very bright. She wondered how that could have happened. The she~dragon had also looked so very different, then any dragon she had ever read upon or even heard of. She wanted to rub her eyes so badly but find it very hard to move her body much like a dead weight, but she also felt her body different, longer, awkward and gangly. The movements she felt she realized were not her own and that she was on the back of another dragon, but why?!?

Then she felt the air go from hot and cloying to cool and almost comfortable soothing her eyes a bit. It was darker too but illuminated with lit wall sconces. Her body gave in and the fatigue pulled her under once more.
Waking after what seemed like many hours she found her self eye to eye with Lumiere and a rather fetching white coatle, she knew it was a coatle because he was one of the many dragons she had scrolls on his stance was very typical from what she'd read assertive male coatle but his manner was reserved like he was royalty. The coatle said nothing but Lumiere introduced him as his excellent assistant, The Baron Vladamiere, it was at that point the coatle with a so very subtle nod said if she liked she could call him simply Vladamiere.
Lumiere was ecstatic Sucrée had finally awaken and after the introductions had begun regaling her with so much information that Justinian had found out about the dragons they were now living in the caverns with in fact he told her he had a full spacious cavern just for his apothecary and seeing those who needed healing. And then he stopped excitedly yammering and spoke very reserved as the coatle placed a claw on his shoulder.

"There are those here who are cursed and you are the only one who can read the magically imbued scrolls that have been gathering dust for a long time in these caverns, at least I think so. You, myself, Justinian, Bradoon, Asmoth and Suriya carry the curse. For those with the most to lose, it took and changed so much. For those who are content and happy as they are, it enhanced abilities, especially dormant ones. You, Asmoth and Suriya were discontent and the magic changed you all. I have been working with Asmoth and he is recovering well, but he had discovered..." There was a yell and suddenly Lumiere dashed off as there was a huge popping noise, some angry chittering and clacking then another dragon carried in a rather foul smelling beetle that Sucrée knew was hers. The mountain beetle flailed excited that its dragon companion was awake and it got out of the claws of the dragon that had been holding it unwillingly. Chittering it turned and clacked angrily at the dragon then back to her and tried to burrow in which hurt when it hadnt in the past. Looking at her claws as she reached to move him she realized not just her claws but so much about her was different. Lumiere found her completely dumb founded when he returned and realized he had not finished explaining things to her fully. tho the look on her face explained she was discovering things and he needed to hurry up in his explanations to lessen the ways she would most likely find herself over whelmed.

Settling back down he sighed then started again. "Asmoth discovered there are new ancients and those in contact with them change. When he discussed things with Bradoon who shared tales of dragons whose descriptions were much like how Asmoth and Suriya now look, it made Asmoth ponder hard this all, but he can only read the disenchanted scrolls and is not fluent in the ancient languages even tho he is now an ancient dragon." She looked and him and didnt quite follow, that he understood and continued. "You, myself and the 'lope were affected by a rather powerful scroll well we found a sister scroll, but cant read it. The scrolls magic was that of change and under the right circumstances it could and would change those who had heard its words. We did, Suriya said she had clasped claws with you and then you turned from tundra" he paused and sighed heavily "to skydancer. but your eyes had begun glowing before that. When were were going thru the tangled wood I noticed you kept fidgeting and it worried my but you seemed to just keep going so I didn't press, I need to know what caused your fidgeting, because it will help us understand. I also like Asmoth and Bradoon feel this is magic that has seeped out from the shadow domain."

Sucrée sighed and opened up about the little glowing light that had either flew or floated into her right eye and how it had at first been just her right eye but then the blurriness and the burning spread to both eyes, and the first time it felt a bit ok was when she had to "face off" with Suriya when they had just gotten into the earth domain and was very surrounded. Lumiere nodded and looked to see if Vladamiere had written everything down which he had. "You've been asleep for quite a while and Asmoth had to do the same because being shifted magically from one dragon species to another takes a huge toll on the entire body.
Infact it was a really good thing it had happened here, I am writing a series of scrolls on it" Her eyes narrowed and he realized in his medical exuberance he had said the wrong thing to her about her current state. "I apologize Sucrée, to me this is so fascinating but to you, Asmoth and Suriya, this is a darkness. Its not magic that is easily reversible unless you really wish it to be so and then we would need to find another of those scrolls which you personally would have to read aloud to all who wish to be affected by it. You need a bit more rest. And just so you know you are one of the most beautiful dragons I have ever seen, and it will shine no matter what dragon species you are." Stretching as he stood "Vladamiere has been seeing to your bedside for the last 10 days, I trust him very much, he is alot like you, quite, private and brilliant."

The mirror left the room then raced back in as tho light had struck him "Sucrée your eyes glow because you absorbed an element of the shadow realm! Suriyas eyes glow because she too absorbed elements of the tangled woods, in fact before returning to the earth domain she lived with Asmoth and Bradoon in the shadow domain! It all makes sense now, and Bradoon carries that magic because he is of shadow, but anyone not of shadow at least from what I can theorize it could mean they are vulnerable to change if indeed they have absorbed something from the shadow domain. But since he is infused with it but because he is so content in who and what he is it simply enhances all he is, I need to explain this all too them!!!" With that Lumiere raced out of her cavern room and dashed off to talk Asmoth, Suriya and Bradoon. Sighing heavily Sucrée looked down at her self once again and rose with the help of Vladamiere to look at herself in a viewing pool. The coatle was quite kind and his quite ways she found rather endearing, but she wasn't going to let anyone see that. Hoever over the course of the next while as she began helping asmoth in his studies and her own being drawn deeply into the magical and ancient lores. Completely fascinated that she could read the magically enhanced and enchanted scrolls when no one else could these scrolls started beging gathered and organazing in cavernious room they discovered by accident. the mountain beetke had been digging away at a corner in the cavern wall and it clicked a stone button and the wall literally slid to the side revealing a room that had indeed been long forgotten.

Suriya confessed when she had come across these caves she made them home because there were rumours the caves were cursed, but they had felt right to her. Sucrée petitioned for the area and it was granted her by the council of three being Asmoth, Suriya and Bradoon, however the next day they requested her and Lumiere join them. Which allowed the counsel because the counsel of 5 but Lumiere petitioned that the name be changed to the Counsel Palisade which was of course accepted. Shortly after that she accepted Vladamiere as her forever mate. Theres was a very quiet ceremony and within a few days a clutch of 3 eggs was produced. While Sucrée focused on digging in the cavers hunting magically imbued scrolls Vladamiere was a doting parent and kept to the nest. When Sucrée and justinain returned the eggs were about to hatch and a very dusty but finally content Sucrée welcomed her little skydancer hatchlings into the palisade caverns. After they had been settled in and imprinted then She found Asmoth and relieved to him the other scroll she had found and explained that these scrolls told stories, they were a guide to those lost. But only ones willing to lose it all to gain so much more would actually be affected by the scrolls magics.
and she explained they would find these kinds of scrolls from each domain and it was her desire to contact the other lore scribes and see what they knew or had, she had also found the name of that which he and Suriya had become ... Vielspun, born of shadow and tricks, mirth and illusion.

In her scroll cavern room she had set up an area particularly to protect these scrolls as she set about making protective clear cases for all she hoped to find tho the first two were now opened and nestled into their glass cases.
