Pestil's rather unpleasant appearance is the result of a rather unpleasant fall in the mines, the crystals within eroding her scales.

They never seemed to grow back, and she is covered in the scarred remains. It is believed that in exchange for her soul, after death, she has been allowed to live past that experience, a gift from an entity that refuses to show its cards. She attempts to do as much good as she can before relinquishing her soul, not knowing what it will be used for. She is a withdrawn, but kind dragon.

She is skilled in tea-making and herbalist medicine. She lives in a secluded section of the village, whispered about among superstitious hatchlings and easily spooked elders. Regardless of her reputation, when someone gets sick or lonely, they more often than not will end up at her doorstep.
