You know, there's an action figure released for Marvel vs. Capcom 1 whose packaging describes this dude as the guardian of the entire Capcom universe. Doesn't that lowkey make him a god?

"Captain Commando (キャプテンコマンドー Kyaputen Komandō?) is the original mascot of Capcom. He is also a main character in the 1991 arcade beat 'em up game of the same name where he is the hero and leader of the "Commando Team".

The Captain Commando manga provides a bit of backstory for Captain Commando, in the manga his real name is given as Mars Carlisle (マルス・カーライル Marusu Kārairu?), and he is the CEO of Star Electronics in his civilian identity."
