ACIDBORNE (Plague Subspecies)
Acidborne are not skinless in the traditional sense; they are the adapted survivors of a catastrophic event. Some speculate early derivatives may have fallen into the Wyrmwound but managed to survive, at great cost. Others believe a wayward Cystic bestowed its "gift" upon them. What is fact is that they produce an acidic substance which eats away at their skin. This prevents the outer flesh from ever healing, but grants them a dangerous weapon against any who dare to get close.
