Rayna

As a hatchling Rayna was bullied for looking "plain" and grey, so she was often depressed and mad at the world. She'd go outside throwing rocks around to let out some of that pent up anger.

Until one day a rock she threw had cracked upon impact. The crack shone in the light so Rayna got curious. Rayna went up to it to investigate and continued cracking it open with a sharp rock she found until it split in half, revealing a vividly blue color, the likes of which she'd never seen. Seeing the gorgeous inside compared to its dull exterior motivated Rayna. She decided to become a gemologist and studied crystals and gems.

It became like an addiction for her, all the cuts on her skin from the uncut crystals seem to have "stained" her skin in a way, it's like she became one. The other dragons in the kingdom claim that her being around all those gems all the time and having barely any social interaction must've made a screw go loose in her head.

Although most people still don't like Rayna, she has all she needs.

Rayna is happy.
