In stark contrast to the object of his infatuation - the Matriarch Allura - Acalan is a more archetypical Tundra dragon. His life is simple, and he relishes in simple things. Hunting, eating, mating, flying, and roughhousing. Conflict is far out of his nature, and he often tries to invoke play, much to the frustration of some clanmates who quickly tire of his doglike nature.

Despite his simple mind that has remained unaltered despite the presence of ambient magic in his new flight, there is no question of his loyalty, and he follows the commands of his progenitors (or at least Allura) unflinchingly.
