Biography
I think she's neat :)
An author and poet from one of the largest and most prosperous cities in the Shifting Expanse. Nereid was conceived while her parents were in the Icefield, resulting in her being an Ice dragon, contrary to the rest of her family being Lightning dragons. As a result, she occasionally suffers ridicule for being the wrong element. Nereid left her family and sister when she was old enough to make it on her own, the ridicule she suffered being a factor.
She's around 70 in human years, and is the great aunt of Cetus. A frivolous party-loving dragoness who lavishes in the success of her works. Nereid spends her time drinking and having fun. She hasn't published any new plays lately, and many wonder if she is still in the writing business at all.
Her assistant and ward is Chell, a Gaoler youngling whom she took into her care for a friend of hers. Chell spends most of her time acting as a glorified servant to Nereid. While their relationship appears to be one-sided, Nereid is secretly grateful for Chell's presence. She has often been alone and her frivolous reputation certainly doesn't help attract company.
Nereid came to the Frigusterram looking for a new start. She's currently attempting to start writing again and still spends her free time drinking fine wines. She's also hosted several parties that have, on numerous occasions, landed her in trouble with the authorities. The number of times she's been made to partake in community service is starting to become concerning, according to Cetus.
