PERSONALITY + BACKGROUND
 The being’s name is Oneiric. A grand dragon of the night sky, who watches over everyone’s dreams and brings only good dreams. Alongside being non-binary, Oneiric has an elegant appearance and is quite fashionable. Oneiric is extremely extroverted and loves spending time with mortals. Oneiric is a romantic person, who believes in the power of love over all else.Once called the God of Dreams at their conception, Oneiric is a dragon as old as life itself, having witnessed the birth and death of multiple gods. They were chosen to look after every aspect of the world, from their very foundations to their people, and everything in between. Their most remarkable aspect, however, has been their nourishment of the dreams of mortals. They preserve every dream imaginable and store them in their own realm, for all people to find once they pass. For Oneiric, it was their calling and a role that truly brought them joy.

Oneiric's life in the dream realm was wonderful, but there's nothing quite like the thrill of mortal life. They have found that the mortal realm can be a beautiful place, but it can also be an incredibly dangerous one. For a being who is immortal, Oneiric often forgets the struggles that exist in the real world, and the dragons that they encounter are an incredible source of wisdom for this. There's a sense of adventure, of excitement, that just can't be found in the dream realm. Not only that, but the mortal dragons are also a fantastic source of entertainment - they are such interesting characters, and their lives are often quite dramatic. There's been more drama in just a week in the mortal realm than Oneiric could find in years in the dream realm. It makes for something that Oneiric would find themselves watching for hours, without even realizing it. The dream realm is like a quiet slice of heaven, but the mortal realm is a noisy slice of paradise.An ethereal -redacted- caught Oneiric's eye. The dragon, whose name was Vendure, was a sight to behold - but that wasn't his best quality. He was quite kind, compassionate to others, and willing to go to any lengths to help them. That's the quality that Oneiric found most admirable about him. In the eyes of society, Vendure would have looked rather feminine - but that didn't matter to Oneiric one bit! |
