Once a devout follower in a Plaguebringer-worshipping clan, Azoth's affinity for magic revolving around the undead caused a rift between him and his fellow members. With the group subscribing to the belief that the Plaguebringer detests such magic, Azoth was driven out.

Angered and alone, he came to Triptych to access the town library's considerable records. He claims he is only searching for evidence to support his beliefs, and not for revenge. He claims.
