B I O G R A P H Y

June remembers the day she first arrived at the Clan of Stars. All she heard in her mind was, remember the mission. Remember the mission and nothing more, accomplish your mission, you’ll be relieved. She shook her head as she recalled the events of that night. June’s wings beat slowly, flying over the ocean, catching the breeze. She was tired, her wings drooping with each beat, her eyes closing against her will and the whispering in her mind began to fade. Just as she was sure she would fall from the sky, she saw a flash of lights in front of her. Her mind immediately sharpened, searching for signs of danger, but instead, she saw a beautiful island. Floating rocks drifted in the sky, gleaming like a beacon in the middle of nowhere, beneath the rocks, beautiful plants glowed a faint blue in the night, casting an ominous blue light on the ocean. June felt a wave of triumph, a burst of energy, and she winged her way towards the streak of color on the horizon. As she got closer, she saw shapes flying among the floating rocks, rocks dimming as the dragon inside went to sleep, and she heard faint laughter and shouts. She heard wingbeats coming closer to her, so she ducked on a floating rock beside that had been drifting next to her. Her wings pressed against the pale pink rock, it wasn’t glowing like the others, and didn’t have any gold, silver, or cyan. “Are you sure you heard something?” A smooth voice called out, frighteningly close to where June was.
“I’m certain,” growled another voice, both sounded feminine, and June didn’t know whether they were dangerous or not.
A sigh rang out from next to June, and she risked a peek, seeing a beautiful imperial with glimmering purple, blue, and pink scales. Hovering next to her was a smaller but striking nocturne. Her body was a constellation of blues, purples, and pinks, her wings black as the night, and both of them had scales that reflected the glowing of the floating rocks. After bickering for a while, the pair flew back, and June lay still for a while longer before sleep grasped her and June succumbed to sleep.

Waking with a jolt, June sprang up and found herself face to face with a Coatl. His wing feathers were blue, standing out against his cream colored body. “Hello,” The Coatl hummed, watching her curiously.
“Who are you?” June hissed, instinctively shrinking back, giving herself more space from the stranger.
The Coatl chuckled, then said, “I’m one of the Keepers of the Clan of Stars, Orion. Question is, who are you?”
June raised her chin defiantly, “I’m June.”
“I see,” the Coatl, Orion, said, pondering something for a while. “Are you staying for a while?”
June was startled by the kindness of Orion, and struggled to reply. “Y-yes. I’ll be staying for a while,” June managed, as the whispers in the back of her head started again. It’s your fault, finish the mission and you’ll be relieved... June shivered.
Orion grinned at her, “Follow me! I’m sure we’ll find a place for you on Lunalis or even Orbitris! I’ll show you around!”
The two of them leaped into the air, Orion leading June on a tour around the Clan of Stars, greeting dragons and introducing her to them. Then Orion showed her her sleeping cave, which was shared by a female Wildclaw who grinned at her, showing all her teeth, and another male Fae, browns and orange scales covering his body, and he smiled at him. Lastly, Orion took June to meet the other Keepers, and June payed special attention here. “This is Astra, she’s my sister, Pumpkin, Maple, Ripple, Stormcoming, and Lelula.”
When she heard this name, June froze, a small grin creeping across her face. She’d found her mark. “Nice to meet you all!” June greeted them, putting on a fake smile.
“Welcome! We hope you’ll find your stay here enjoyable!” Lelula said to her.
“Yes, I’m sure it will be...” June replied, barely able to contain her joy, and trying her best to ignore the voices in her head, kill her! Find your mark and kill her! Finish the mission! Be relieved, just kill her!!
June bid the Keepers good bye, flew to her sleeping cave, which was empty for the moment, and began to plan.

Now, months after arriving on the Clan of Stars, June falters as she was thrown back into the present. On one hand, her own family, on the other, the new family she had found here, including October. October had always been kind to her, and they were often found together, but June was worried about admitting her feelings to him or even herself. Even Blackhole, who had been wary of her at first, had started accepting June. Would she have to throw this all away in order to finish her mission? She loved her mother and father, they had raised her with love and care, and it was her fault that they were suffering now when June was living peacefully and happily with other dragons. This was one of the reasons why she had to finish her mission. Do it! Finish the mission! Kill her and save your parents, you’ll be relieved, kill her! Finish the mission! June cried out in frustration, clutching her head with her front claws. “Hearing the voices again?” A warm voice that June had imprinted in her mind said. Immediately June thought of a warm brown and orange Fae who was the only dragon June had told about the voices in her head, she trusted him completely.
June wanted to run away from him, but he was sometimes all she had on her mind, it was impossible to put aside her feelings for him. Seeing him now would only make the headache worse.
“Yes...” June admitted looking up, it didn’t matter, seeing October may give her a headache, but she enjoyed the Fae’s company, and it caused a strange bubbly feeling in her chest.
October stood in the entrance to the cave, watching her with a worried expression. “Are you sure you don’t want to tell the others?” He asked softly.
“No!” June shouted, leaping up, “I mean, no, please don’t.”
October agreed reluctantly, and sitting together on the floating rock watching the sunset over the ocean, casting the world in a strange orange glow, June’s mind began warring with herself again.
