The small, piratically-dressed dragon in front of you provides a charming, adorable image. Her enthusiasm is infectious, and she seems to have the most brilliant ideas that she presents in a breathless flood of speech, exuding a surprising amount of intensity for someone who speaks in monotone. It's probably that combination of personality and unreadable meaning in her flat speech that makes it so easy for her bewildered victims to be taken in.

Silk makes sure to put that confusion to use... because if they cannot figure out exactly what is actually meant, the mark's brains are more likely to fill in something comfortable that makes agreeing seem like a very good idea. If only to stop the confusion and have a definite place to stand in the whirlwind that is the encounter with one of the best con artists in the world.

The fae does not talk about her past. Many rumors are bandied about, but Silk refuses to confirm or deny any of them. Could she be a princess in hiding? Perhaps she was a captive bride who managed to escape? Is she a wanted criminal somewhere and needed to hide? The lair is full of many who have such interesting back stories, so they wouldn't be bothered by what Silk is hiding... but it would be fun to know.

Perhaps Silk will someday let them in on her privileged childhood and the startling twists her life took to bend her into this new form... or maybe not. After all, mysteriousness is a big boon in her line of business. If no one knows anything for certain about you, you can be anything you want to be for them.
