Paragon of Light

Crystal-divider-wide.png
___________________________________________________
_ The powerful and pious prophet of the Lightweaver, Paragon was born into nothing. She was taken from her family at a very young age and passed around Sornieth without much care. She came under Mujaid's radar by complete accident. She had been out hunting with her son Telemachus when they happened across the young Pearlcatcher. When Telemachus became very interested with the dragonet, Mujaid decided to take her in as one of her wards.

Telemachus and Paragon grew up very close despite Paragon's... incidents. Shortly after being accepted into Mujaid's lair, Paragon began showing some scary prowess with light magic. Large, heated blasts of fizzling energy became a terrifying normalcy when Paragon was frustrated or upset. Because of this, Paragon was isolated from the other wards of Mujaid's lair and was only allowed to be around her peers if she was supervised.

Telemachus found this treatment of Paragon absolutely appalling and he spent many nights pleading with his mother to allow Paragon more than a glimpse of the outside world. His plea was taken all the way up to the council, to which he revealed that Paragon was his charge. Mujaid could not bear to deny her son his purpose in life, so Paragon was given free reign of the territory so long as Telemachus was around to protect her.

Paragon and Telemachus were married soon after Telemachus explained what a Guardian's charge was to her. The wedding was small and intimate, nothing like the typical grandiose affair that would come from a Guardian and Pearlcatcher pairing. Paragon found that her connection with the Lightweaver - the magical outbursts, the whisperings in her head - also manifested in infertility. Telemachus didn't care.
He loved her, he was happy with her.

Not for long.

Paragon's powers became too much and a small disagreement between the couple turned into a fatal affair. Telemachus was destroyed in an awful corona of light and Paragon was left to handle the death of her beloved and the wrath of her lair on her own.

Paragon was exiled due to the murder of Telemachus and she is to be attacked on site if she is to ever show her face in the Starfall Isles again. She is currently (hesitantly) looking for a new clan. She fears that her powers will endanger more people, but she is so hungry...

Paragon awoke from her deep slumber to the faint smell of ash and smoke smothered beneath the scent of spices and herbs. Confused, she peered around the cave's chamber, trying to recall how she had gotten here, or where 'here' even was. Try as she might, however, all she could remember was the gnawing hunger in her stomach, something she realized was missing now. Focusing on her memories, the only thing she recalled were faint flashes of wing beats, and of large talons encircling her entire form, carrying her somewhere she had no knowledge of.

The faint sound of talons clicking on stone alerted her to the approaching presence, and she hastily lifted herself from the (admittedly very comfortable) bed she had been laying on. A female snapper, adorned with the robes of a healer, entered the room. When the other dragon saw her awake, she smiled at the Pearlcatcher, delighted.

"Oh good, You're awake! We thought you'd be out longer, considering your mal-nourishment, but you seem to have recovered surprisingly quickly!" The Snapper said.

Coughing to clear her throat, Paragon questioned, "Who are you? Where am I?"

"Oh, how rude of me! My name is Terra, and you're currently resting in the healing cave of the Elliptical clan." The now named Terra informed Paragon cheerily, "You were found by Valgunool, a lightning Imperial, and you're lucky you were. Not only were you malnourished to hell, your powers where going haywire! Luckily Val knows how to combat such attacks, and being resistant to light magic certainly helps." She explained, quickly soothing the fear that had been bubbling up within Paragon with her assurances that the other dragon was alright.
