newt has a flair for the theatrics in life, and it shows. morning or night, he always has the sort of air as someone putting on a show: for whom, you ask? well, anyone who’s so inclined to want one! newt thinks it’s fun to make a great fuss of things. after all, spontaneity is the spice of life! and he’s little if not spontaneous. the local puppeteer isn’t a hothead, rest assured. his actions might seem unpredictable, but they’re planned. still... the internal logic that goes into planning them can be difficult to comprehend. newt’s mind is a swirling, sparkling tide, mercy to his playful whims and the grand imagination that drives his thoughts, as peculiar as it is playful. he really can’t help himself from being just a tiny bit of a chatterbox, thoughts springing ideas like frogs from one lily pad to the next. fret not, however- he wouldn’t hurt a fly. for all his haphazard habits, newt is as kind as they come, albeit with a particular dash of nosiness to go along with it. there’s a certain allure to sorting out the issues of others that he’s just a bit enamored with. sometimes, his adoration of the dramatics can make him a little less than perfectly tactful, but he always tries his best! perhaps with maturity, he’ll learn to be a bit more careful about where he puts his paws... newt is a planner, meticulous when the need arises, but when his emotions overwhelm him- he tends to leap before he looks. what can he say? he’s good at it! he has a strong sense of instinct and intuition, so when his snap judgements prove correct, they really do. newt isn’t cocky, but he’s certainly not above a bit of preening. he knows well tedious necessities like chores and little menial things and the like are necessary for songbird keep’s function... but they’re also a little boring, compared to the big wide world. newt doesn’t have much fondness in his heart for boring, and neither does his sharp-eyed whirl of a mind. still, he’s been raised up with naught but politeness and due manners, so he’d never think to voice such a petulant thought. everything has a use, and newt is always eager to help out! even with the boring things. he loves his clan, and he loves his occupation, and he really does want to be his best for them! sometimes, he’s a bit of a handful in the process, but his manners are steadfast and his determination to make the world smile with his puppet shows even more so. |
