A New Future

I can't believe it's been so long since I've arrived to this clan. It seems only yesterday that I was helping OldOak and Hilda with their own young'uns. Ah, those were the days. Brought me great joy seeing them stuff themselves with my cooking, it did. They weren't the only ones! No! I was the cook for all the clan. I could make them quiver whenever I made my world famous pies ... or if I had a new recipe to try out! Now that I remember, I also helped them with healing the abused and misused. I still remember the day I helped a little hatchling fix his sprained wing after taking a nasty fall while playing. He was bedridden for a week! Oak and Hilda valued my opinion so much, I was considered to be a clan elder.

Oh, look at me rattle on. Sorry! I should be writing about my new charges.
You see, after some time, it was clear to me that OldOak and Hilda didn't really need me around as much any more. The clan was growing, and while I loved the atmosphere, it was getting to be a bit too much for me. So, I asked them if I could travel the world, in search of a new exciting place to live. Oh, it pained me to ask such a thing of them, but I wanted some excitement in my life. Begrudgingly, they agreed to let me go. On my last day with them, they made me a huge party. It was one of the happiest days I've ever had.

Anyways, after traveling for so long across Sornieth, I decided to return to the land of my birth. I decided to return to dearest Noodledad, Windsinger. While there, I stumbling upon a very curious pair. They had just started their own clan, and while each seemed somewhat capable, it was clear to me that they had no experience living here in Windswept Plateau. Taking pity on them, I decided to stick around and help them out. While I stayed with them, I told them of my travels around the world, looking for a new place to call home. That's when they offered me a place to stay and how I joined the clan of Sindri and Lady Rae.

Oh, it felt good to be part of a clan again. It was a hoot watching Sindri lead compared to Lady Rae. He is more laid back and it can drive her nuts! Sometimes he seems like just a big fluffy kid! Even more so when he plays with Hau. Lady Rae seems more diplomatic, and has forged the way for the clan to thrive. However, I know she secretly loves sweets. Whenever she is stressed, I sneak her a few treats. We can have her image as the epitome of grace and strength challenged now.

Anyways, since joining Sindri and Lady Rae, I've found joy again. I hope one day to tell OldOak and Hilda that I've found a new home. Until then, I'm going to be making sure Sindri and Lady Rae get things right!
