Shisa

Legend tells of a giant Foo-like deity somewhere in a far-off land called Okinawa, which is said to awaken when the planet is threatened by a giant mecha and would fight it off with the help of a massive lizard-like being that could breathe blue fire.

But Shisa (シーサー) isn't interested in that at all. She doesn't really bother herself with space fantasy folklore or atomic monsters. She works with the real-world Foo; specifically the Tigerblood subspecies. They may be cute enough and occasionally will grant a dragon the honor of petting it... but one of the biggest things Shisa finds amusing is their way of 'stalking'. A sort of red-light green-light game where the creature will be crouched and would creep forward, but as soon as they are seen they freeze in place. If you look away, they'll advance, but freeze once again when looked at. It can continue until they do finally pounce the last time you turn your head.

Shisa thinks its hilarious. Some of the other dragons though - Elder and younger alike - find it unnerving and reminiscent of a certain frightening sort of angel-shaped living statues. You know the ones...
