Mate of Treewalker
Haline's egg might as well have been a drop of sap or a bead of dew. Even she does not know who her family is. Born a Fae in the wilds of the Viridian Labyrinth, she survived on her wits and the strength of her spirit. Her savagery and forcefulness are a jarring contrast to Treewalker. The Law of the Wild has left its mark on her soul, and she knows its lesson well: the clever, the strong, and the cautious are those who survive. The weak, the foolish, and the overconfident fall. It is not that she lacks love or affection; more that you must earn her respect to receive it openly. No hatchlings will be spoiled or over-coddled while she is part of this clan.

She was discovered on the fringes of the Clan's territory by the scouts, but had to be convinced that the clan was not merely a structure that allowed the unworthy to survive. Weeks went by before she was able to see the strengths that were not physical; the cleverness of art rather than battle strategy, the might of architecture or forgework rather than that of the body. It was then that she happily counted herself part of Treewalker's Clan. And as she grew, she saw something else.

Treewalker may have been the founder of the clan, but he was more. It was his firm touch that kept the dragons together. His word that resolved disputes before they tore holes in the web of relationships. His wise counsel that shaped the plans for growth and trade. And Treewalker's Charge may have been the land, but what would become of the Clan if there was no Treewalker?

Thus Haline found her own Charge, and the need was strong enough to change her shape. She now forms part of the clan's Council, Treewalker's advisors and information sources, and is ever vigilant to threats to the Clan and to her leader. 		pN8aekY.png
