B I O G R A P H Y

Upon processing that he was chosen to be one of the Ambassadors of Light, a high honor, Geralo followed Topaz and Moonstone to learn their behavior, looking up to the two the picture of class and honor. Though, with Moonstone often moving about and rarely in one place for longer than twenty minutes, Topaz quickly discouraged Geralo from following Moonstone around. Topaz then taught Geralo how to be something of a prince, training him daily, taking him in as a son. Upon seeing this, Lapis hardly questioned it, but was often so preoccupied with trying to organize the lair and recruit dragons for the clan. Geralo learned that despite the sound of the position, being an Ambassador of Light in this clan, only meant being VID of that element.

When he discovered this, Geralo was in disbelief. Having thought this was a great responsibility and that he would have been in charge of overseeing the Light Elemental affairs, or there would be these grand conferences regarding resources. He had mentally prepared himself for his entire upbringing for this great opportunity and all the position meant was he got to wear fancy clothes and keep a rare familiar, rather than make these important decisions. The distressed Imperial nearly cracked and argued about his training. To which Topaz replied to him that she never told him that he needed training. He asked her to teach him proper etiquette and how to behave in high society. After this, Geralo distanced himself from the others to cool down.

After Geralo had calmed himself, he confronted Topaz, who was fully expecting a resignation, but instead received an apology for his behavior and his outburst. He had truly believed that being an Ambassador was his sole purpose in life, seeing as he was adopted expecting to be sent off to war. Being in the position of Ambassador was such a relief from exaltion that he never once considered that him just living life the way he wanted was a possibility. Topaz, in turn, apologized to him for setting a higher bar than she ever intended and turning the boy into a prince at a much earlier age than she had ever intended. After her apology, she described the way she always imagined his life would go was he lived freely with a shiny hat. Nothing more. Nothing less.

_FIRST MEETING_

____"Hey- if you're gonna exalt me, please at least name me? It doesn't matter what the name is. It could be your favorite breakfast food. Just please name me something? Thank you."
"Don't worry little one, you won't get exalted. In fact you have been chosen by Lapis and I to be one of the Guardians of Light. We have chosen the name 'Geralo' for you." Topaz said soothingly.
"R-Really?" the hatchling looked up at the jungle-colored Guardian with hopeful eyes.
"Yes, welcome to our family, Geralo." she smiled warmly.

____The young, gold-colored Imperial was pressed into the corner of the adoption center. His wings open and his body arched like a frightened kitten. His little heart pounded in his throat as he resisted the urge to cry. He was so scared. But Geralo was his name now. And he was chosen to be a Representative of Light for this new clan. He wasn't sure what it meant, but it sounded important. Like being a king. He lowered his wings and relaxed his body, his lower lip trembling. Topaz allowed the hatcling to inch closer to her and wrap his arms and tail around her arm in a hug, sobbing with relief.

_PERSONALITY_

____Geralo grew to be a very kind and selfless dragon, albeit socially awkward. His time spent in the adoption center left him with the inability to confidently speak with anyone. Despite this, he tries to make an effort in communicating with the other dragons in the clan, finding it an obligation as a Representative of Light. It has certainly helped him and allowed him to learn about many of the other dragons living around him. He even manages to take Solar out of her shell, as she was incredibly shy and distrusting of other dragons.

____Aside from learning about the other dragons, Geralo has developed a hobby of gifting and collecting, mostly discarded jewelry. Often if he recognizes a piece of jewelry that once belonged to one of the others, he will ask the previous owner to verify the junk status before adding it to his collection. Due to this, the dragons have determined Geralo the most honest and trustworthy in the clan, even feeling comfortable with sharing their deepest secrets. Geralo is sometimes referred to as the Gilded Chest, or Geralo the Honest.
