where the wild meets the world;
some kind of rich illusion of modernity -
technology overrun or accompanied, of sorts
by fronds and leaves and sprouts
neon signs flickering and buzzing with vines
curling round their fluorescent lights like
overprotective guardians. or old cement,
cracked with age, and in between, nestled
in their nazca lines, little sprigs of green
fight for survival. there is no gentleness
or serenity in this scene: it imbues you
with a strange, heady feeling.
it makes you feel like you are lost.
a liminal space? a lost dimension? it
rings a bell but it also does not. it makes
you feel like you do not belong.
some aspect of strangeness, of eccentricity:
god does not exist here. god does not reign nor
exist in this forgotten place, some secret hideout,
capturing this fragile balance of opposites
where the wild meets the world.
