Dragonborn/DrowWarlock
There was peace in the flashing array of colours, a warmth he had never felt before now. It eased his mind and spoke to him softly, granting him gifts beyond any previous imagination. He understood that the ancient being before him meant him no harm, it only wished to accompany the draconic being throughout his journey, to watch him grow and change.
He frowned, thinking back to the moment his pact began and whatever life he had before had stopped being any concern of his. It had been so long ago now, perhaps a few decades. Vesjova thought adjusting would be difficult, that the shifting hues would distract his train of thought and muddle his brain to the point that he’d be a drooling lizard slipping down back alleys to chase a particularly enticing shade of orange. He had often imagined himself writhing in a dirty puddle in some unknown cobbled street, hidden away from those who would intend to lend their aid to the helpless beast before them.
It gently brought him back down to his mortal domain, quietly setting him free on the same cobbles he had imagined himself deteriorating on just moments before and he continued forward, only now he was very aware of the creature watching him from somewhere else, tucked away in a realm no one else but him and the creature had entered in millennia.
His exploits had led him through a large series of journeys, but none had seemed to feel right for Vesjova, who now began to notice how his age was catching up to him. In his anguish, as he felt he had failed the creature’s curiosity, he settled down in a small inn to drink and sleep his feelings away. And then there was a nudge, like a string attached to his body being tugged in the opposite direction...
