Biography

 D A G G E R Dagger was hatched into a world of expectations. Strict expectations. And, in his mind, unfair expectations. He had no interest in keeping the Shade in check and instead wanted to explore the world. His friends couldn't understand that wish, and eventually he was free to leave, having expressed his disinterest in his "duty." Dagger loved his newfound freedom, as well as the warmth he felt on his scales. Many dragons thought that he was a hunter who's talent resided in capturing exotic animals, but that was far from the truth. Instead, Dagger was a soft, caring dragon with a hard outer shell. While he didn't trust other dragons easily, he was always willing to give advice. Sometimes he told lies to keep his secrets safe, but eventually he began to get lonely. Then he found Diphaen. |

| Dagger listened patiently when Diphaen told him his story, and his heart reached out to the other wildclaw. They became friends quickly, and soon Dagger's loneliness melted away. He had a friend now, and they could stay together and keep each other company. Deciding to dwell in the Scarred Wasteland - at the exact spot where they first met - they built a haphazard but sturdy lair for themselves. One morning, however, they awoke to find their lair completely demolished, and whoever the culprit was had flown away, leaving them with no scent or clue to track the thief by. |

Luckily, one clan was willing to lend them tools for a month, and after they had rebuilt their den - more organized this time - they returned the tools. In return for the tools, the clan told them to leave and never come back. Dagger wouldn't listen, and every Saturday from then on they stole something trivial, waiting to see how the clan would react. Dagger knew that they suspected them, but was relieved when it became clear no actions were to be taken against them. Sometimes, nervous thoughts crossed Dagger's mind. Among those thoughts, the most terrifying one was that his former clan would track him down and force him back to the Icefield to serve as a guard to shade-touched creatures. Usually he'd push the thoughts away, but sometimes they become so vivid, he feels as if he's in a living nightmare. |

| Stealing for Diphaen is fun. While Dagger knows that Diphaen is irritated, he'll occasionally take a trinket from Diphaen. Diphaen will often pay him treasure in return for the trinket, and Dagger uses that treasure to buy food, as well as bribe clans to lend them materials. |
