Biography
╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮
"You may ask, but the answer may cost your life." ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ A mirror that hunts alone, her talons and fangs poisoned by the Plaguemother's gifts, her blood toxic by the Plaguemother's blessing. Once a lowly mirror named Shiv, she stumbled upon a shrine to the Plaguebringer. Always a loner from her pack, she wandered far within the decrepit temple, its state forgotten and abandoned for millennia. The Plaguemother noticed the lone mirror, her keen eyes of glowing crimson see a likeness within this outcast. She whispered in one obsidian ear, promises of strength and power, if she would but offer herself to the goddess. Shiv, seeing no reason to refuse, accepted the goddess' offer, cutting her flesh open with an ivory bone and letting her life's blood drain to the fleshy floor of the temple. The Plaguebringer remained true to her word, and used the temple to give herself form, sinking deadly fangs into the mirror's slender neck, replacing the crimson fluid with a liquid that glowed sickly green within the mirror's veins. The poison infiltrated to every orifice of the mirror's body; her eyes, her saliva, her arteries. It even began to secrete from small pores at the base of her claws, coating them in the toxin. Shiv had become Venom incarnate. However, the Plaguebringer was not a cruel mistress. She promised that along with this gift, she would offer another; a mate, that would be able to withstand the poison flowing in the mirror's veins, and a partnership that would last a lifetime. The mirror told the goddess that she had no such earthly interests, instead now eager to seek out the limits of her new begotten power. Plaguebringer subsided, allowing the mirror to leave the temple, but she held to her promise, offering the gift of resistance to her deadly toxins to a chosen individual at a later time.
