Helio

Helio was born from a challenge to achieve the perfect dragon. His parents aim was for a child as bright as the moon, but while his brother was their dream child, Helio sadly was not. His parents at first didn't mind, they loved and doted on him as much as any parent would, but as time passed by they slowly begun to split away from him, favouring his brother instead. It didn't bother him in the beginning, but as months turned to years the young dragon slowly started to distance himself from his once loving family, and in fact begun to resent his sibling as a result of his parents actions. However, unlike his parents, his brother never once abandoned Helio. When he was able to, the young dragon did try to interact with his older brood brother, but as time went on it became clear that his attention was unwanted. Eventually Helio left them, sneaking off into the middle of the night without so much as a goodbye, and set off towards a new life.

The night was cold, yet clear that evening. Not a cloud in the sky, and a million stars shining on his pelt. And the moon? god. The moon was bright and large, and the light from it reflecting on his scales, made him glow brighter than his sibling, brighter than his parents, as he escaped into the unknown wilderness that was sorienth. It was almost like the world was telling him this was exactly what he needed to do, and where he needed to be.
