My name is Yūmei, something my mother tells me means 'celebrated' and it has stood true to the conditions of my birth. Last born before her hibernation and pinnacle of everything her and my father wished for their children, I was born with her ice in my veins and a a small and compact body that regenerates with the frost. My father taught me that I inherited this gift directly from my mother, who had a more unstable version of it that left her body turning to ice with each new wound. They had worked hard over years to be able to negate the same curse in their hatchlings and I was their final success.
My father has been teaching me a lot about his craft and my abilities while my mother slept away her disease, and he's finally told me that it was my turn to make my decisions and choose my path on my own. With my knowledge of curses, magic, and Sornieth's theology... I think I might go on an adventure of my own. I want to see the world, to do something daring, maybe help others like me with their own curses, blessings, and ailments to adjust and find relief in such a strange and volatile magical world such as this. I'm so excited!
Father has packed provisions for me and Calathea will be flying us both out to make sure I get to a boat safely. I'm going to miss them so much, but... I'm happy with this decision. Adventure, here I come!

I've arrived at a clan they call "Crow Callers". When I got here, they initially mistook me for a hatchling for rather understandable reasons.
When they found out I wasn't a hatchling, the clan's doctor/scientist Patriot wanted to examine me. He calls this phenomenon "eternally youthful dragons", but doesn't know what causes it. I met a few of the other dragons like this, notably Boyd, who was cursed by a sorcerer. I also became friends with Fission, who is also a dragon rather small for his size. I'm convinced Fission was mutated to be this way.
