Incurable Optimist
"An optimist understands that life can be a bumpy road, but at least it is leading somewhere. They learn from mistakes and failures, and are not afraid to fail again."

There are many ways to look at life and the things that happen (or might happen) to you. Some choose to dwell on the bad things that could befall them at the drop of a hat; others choose to believe that nothing bad can truly happen if you find the silver lining in a situation.

Thanatos looks as if he should be scary or obsessed with the dark, but he's the total opposite. The tundra is very cheerful, happy, and optimistic all of the time. Rarely does anything dent his rosy outlook. But, while that's good in a way, he does sometimes neglect real life things that need to be dealt with because he'd rather not think about the darkness.

Because of Thanatos’ refusal to face the dark, he can sometimes get into trouble because he didn't prepare for anything bad to happen. While the others in the lair adore him for always believing that the best of anything will prevail, they worry for him quite often. Many have tried to help him figure out the idea of being prepared for the worst while hoping for the best, but so far it hasn’t taken much root.

Thanatos knows, deep down, that there is badness in the world. After all, hasn’t he seen how many of his friends and family have been hurt in various ways before they came to Chaotic Daydreams? But, somehow, he has the feeling that if he dwells on the idea too much something inside him will break. Perhaps someday he’ll learn how to balance the two realities… but until then, he’ll be content to stare deep into the light at the end of the tunnel - even if it at times makes him blind to the jagged path under his feet.
