All is still and all is well in the Bloomgrove Garden. Only a single bird dares to sing its melody in the silence of the scene. Pure, innocent, yet oddly knowing of the potential dangers this cursed land offers to the daring. In the center of the garden, an assembly of statues all face one another. Pained and frightful poses, great emotion is expressed with each one. Through each of their eyes, the stream of the fountain flows freely. This coatl. She holds her claws closer to her heart. Forever paused mid-stagger, she looks up to the sky with pain. The dove that sings perches freely on her wings, tail, and even head. Its performance is only disturbed when the ground falls from beneath it. The marble statue collapses into the well of her own tears. Sudden movement, as if she were never a statue to begin with, startles the dove. Her head pops up, brilliant gemstone eyes wide with alarm. Confusion, horror, and everything in between. She fails to understand what has happened. She crawls out of the water, fervently trying to remember the last thing she could scap together. All she can remember, however, is the deep hollow voice of a beast. "Rest." |

Kalpasi is a marble statue brought to life by the song of an enchanted dove. She can live safely in the garden as a being that is no longer technically alive, but chooses to leave in fear of the danger being brought to her dove. Unable to fly on her own, she has to use mechanical wings in order to get anywhere. Her life is directly connected to her avian friend, if it were to fall the so would she. |
