__ All it takes in life to give someone a 'knight in shining armor' complex is a good row of bullying. Unfortunately, Escaria suffered just that at the hands of an unjust system that pitted them with a poor excuse for legal counsel and representation. When the bullying went too far and threats against the dragon started to come, they lost their case because they lacked sufficient evidence that the other party was genuinely planning an attack. When their harasser did attack later, Escaria was left in the dust by their legal system, being told that they should have done something more and taken better precautions. They vowed to never again allow that sort of behavior. Their monotonous nature leads others to believe that they're emotionally unaffected by the cases they now preside over, but nothing could be further from the truth. A lack of emotion in communication doesn't necessarily mean a lack of emotion within the body, and Escaria's rulings often show this.

__ Every breed of dragon ought to be represented within a council, that's firmly where Escaria intends to keep the laws of this clan pointed towards. Having every breed, flight, and smaller group represented by the council claiming government over the clan is not only a priority but also non-negotiable. Even going to try to change the laws protecting this stance would take decades of legal work, and Escaria would be there at the very end to make it null and void anyway. Representation matters and this nonbinary gender-nonconforming dragon knows it.
