A respected member of Tartarus and one with a very vital duty; Hyperion and Hestia work together to fan the flames in the deepest parts of the lair. These flames illuminate and warm the entire lair through many small crevices and tunnels dug out by Prometheus. Hestia watches over the flames during the day and Hyperion through the night. He is thus a night owl and sleeps throughout the day; thankfully, due to his position, he is never bothered. Hyperion spends his time by the fire reading or polishing his opal scales, which are a great sense of pride for him and a symbol of his status.

» Often reads humorous books or joke books to keep him alert and positive through the long stretches of watching the flames. He often has to stifle his laughter so he won't wake the rest of the den.

» He is mostly friendly with the few dragons that stay up at night and is often seen speaking with members of the Underworld cavern.

» No collection to speak of, but his nest is made up of a thousand cindered twigs that were once used to fuel a fire. He usually awakes covered in soot.
