Biography

Salinka clan role Salinka, radiant and graceful, is a star fallen to earth. Not a quite a literal star, mind you, but she's certainly not from Sornieth. When she arrived, she was nothing more than a whirling mass of red-purple light that alighted upon Shieldkeeper's Crest where Sonora was on duty. Fearing for the safety of the Refuge, she awoke her counterparts before realizing that the curious star was following her, swirling around her wings and legs like it couldn't figure out what to make of her. Cautiously, she reached out to touch the fallen star, only to blink and realize it had perfectly mirrored her own draconic form save for the ever present glow that emanated from the doppleganger, and her eyes. A rush of thoughts came racing into her mind, last of all was a name: Salinka. Salinka, ever inquisitive, then reached out to touch Cappadocia and then Arviasa, before her light flashed again and she took a form somewhat in between all three: a skydancer, with a few too many antennae and stars shifting under her skin. She took on Cappadocia's willowiness, Arviasa's hues, and of course, Sonora's face. She quickly proved that she meant no harm, and was allowed by the Council to stay in Refuge. It turns out, love is different amongst celestial bodies. It's not what you or I would think of as love, more like partnership. A mutual agreement to not collide into eachother in a fiery explosion, but simply to orbit forever until they burn out. Salinka's desire to know what love is like for ephemeral, mortal beings drew her to Sornieth and to the Refuge, where she is as loved as she could ever be. She found family, she found friends, and though she may not experience romantic love, she adores seeing it in others and rejoices in their happiness. |
