- Biography - He, better than anyone, knew the terrors that hid in the darkness. A creature born of those terrors himself, he'd grown up kin and kin with them - playing with the dangers that lurked in the areas void of any light. In the areas where not even his eyes, made of the very shadows of the night, could not pierce through. It was in these areas that he made a home. His father had warned him, back when he was much younger and a lot more naïve; 'Do not seek out that which hides in the in the darkness, that for which you do not understand, as sometimes those who hide in the darkness do so for a reason. A reason that, sometimes, we will never understand.' He had, of course, not listened to Thranduil. After all, he may have been a creature of darkness like his father - but he had inherited his mother's insatiable need to understand the world around herself. And, in a way, Thranduil had always known that Elros wouldn't listen. It was in the sad way that his father's eyes watched him - as if his father wished to save him from a fate that even he knew was unavoidable. Yet nobody could have saved Elros from his own curiosity. And it was his curiosity that lead him to seek to understand the terrors that hid in the night... and once he understood them, he could never go back to the light of day. |

- Cauni - He should have never gotten close to Cauni. Even if it was never on purpose, he sought to understand the wildclaw. She was strong and wily, and though she wasn't as intelligent, she was cunning. She didn't understand his want to learn, but she understood how he needed to know. And it brought him so much. He learned of her life, her loves, her triumphs, her defeats. |
