Lutha came to flight as a healer, relatively young but with some solid experience under his wings already. Of course, this put him directly in the path of the clan's protectors- including the lady Liandrin. The warrior princess a vain, haughty creature, but... Beautiful, with a softer side Lutha was privileged enough to see often. The then-coatl watched her with the beginnings of a crush as she mentored hatchlings and brought them all back unscathed, enjoyed the gifts she'd bring back for him each expedition, and savored the trust she'd reveal each time he had to treat her wounds. He enjoyed his time with her, and she enjoyed the attention he'd grace her with, though the love was initially unrequited.

A visit to Asil - the clan's alchemist - saw the skydancer unexpectedly altered, and furious for it- she was tiny and ugly compared to the imposing beauty she once possessed. Spitting mad and unable to even look at the unapologetic pearlcatcher, who was more upset that she'd ruined his hard work, the veilspun fled. Noticing her absence, Lutha would go after her soon enough, concerned about his friend and not-so-secret crush. Finding her, however, was not the easiest task, and it was late by the time he caught sight of her. Bland brown and plain peach, the warrior wasn't much to look at, and bristled that he should see her in such a deplorable state. Not that such mattered to him, his affection for her running deeper than just feather and hide. A fact he at last admitted to her, a solid, comforting presence who'd not suffer anyone to speak ill of Lin, not even herself... And in the long-cast shadows of an evening glade, the hushed whispers of a breeze, the quiet babble of a distant brook... Something new was born. The veilspun looking to him with a new regard, at last seeming to see him.

Lutha had a chance, one he wasn't going to waste.
