Biography
Please return to Yukichan
When Fraxin came of age and was allowed to select the place for his lair, he was drawn toward a warm place in caves, deep in the lair but near one of the outer edges of the network. As Willoughby began construction, he quickly broke into a large undiscovered chamber dotted with hot pools. Fraxin was thrilled and insisted that he still wanted his lair there - but of course he wasn't the only one who wanted the benefit of the pools. The compromise was that his (and now also Areceae's) lair is a cave carved just off the main chamber, allowing them to soak in the heat as well as have easy access to the pools.
The maintenance of the pools has become their job in the clan - making sure all the ventilation stays clear, smoothing out mineral deposits, various cleaning duties and the like. In some of the pools they've even successfully raised schools of fish that require hot water like the molten goby.
Despite the constant heat being considered sweltering for most dragons of Clan Radix, the coatl pair finds it just quite warm. It's not enough to prevent their instinctual migration to Emberglow Hearth every year.
