eeeeeeeeAs such, they were the quintessential middle-child: a younger sibling trailing adoringly after older siblings as they learned to fight, harvest herbs, hunt, read and write runes, and all the other skills a well-rounded dragon needs to survive; and an older sibling teaching those things to younger siblings eager to crawl on them, pull their tail, and trip all over themselves as Ammanel tried to hunt. eeeeeeeeAs much as they love their family, Ammanel has found that they long for a life beyond the Acherontic Frith-- haunted forests are a wonderful place for any skeletal dragon to grow up, but now it's time for Ama to follow their older siblings out into the world. eeeeeeeeIn preparation, they've studied the fireflies, and practiced following them out of the Gladekeeper's realm many times; they were apprenticed first by the elder warrior Aurelian, and then by the mated pair of nature-blades, Amaranthine and Anthracite. eeeeeeeeAfter so much time spent with Amaranthine-- Ama, to his friends, as well-- Amannel has become known as Ama the younger. It's a title they both cherish and resent, in equal measure-- they're eager to earn a name of their own, to no longer live in anyone's shadow, be it their parents', siblings', or mentors'. eeeeeeeeThankfully, Ama has become a formidable fighter in their own right, and has begun packing their things for a journey out of the Frith-- destiny awaits! |
