Biography

One of the more peculiar items of folklore told by denizens of the Wastelands is the so-called "awakened stone", a crystalline entity possessing many eyes and toothy maws which sought to devour all it encountered. Supposedly such creatures were a product of precious gemstone deposits being exposed to the pestilent influence of the Wyrmwound, a reprimand from the Plaguebringer herself to punish treasure hunters and would-be plutocrats for their avarice. While accounts of these beasts have largely faded to the realm of fable in recent decades, there remains to this day the occasional tale of a miner or spelunker disappearing unexpectedly, the remains recovered several weeks later riddled with gemstones and with several large bites missing.
