FrigidHex is a generally jolly dragon. He's usually seen with a bright smile despite his role in the clan and the state of his being. When working he's very focused but he can be distracted quite easily.

◦• Biography •◦

FrigidHex was born from Diamond and Aurora, the right-claw dragons to the leaders. He was the youngest of his clutch and a rather unique hatchling as well. Unlike his siblings, he wasn't born with the gemstones growing on his scales. Instead, he had bits of ice from his egg clinging to his scales. Diamond was curious and felt something was off about him but left the matter alone. It wasn't until later when the ice never fell off and instead began to grow that Diamond looked into the matter. It didn't take long for him to realize he was born with a curse that caused ice to grow on him and leave him feeling an eternal chill. Unfortunately, the clan had no expert on things such as curses other than Diamond himself, but even he could not reverse it. It was when this was found out that the hatchling was given the name FrigidHex

Ever since, Diamond kept him close in case he'd need to do any magic to lessen or stop anything caused by the curse like cold spells and big growth spurts in the ice. Without much else to do since he couldn't wander or stay with his brother, sister, and mother, FrigidHex found himself watching his father do his work. He made for a good audience, keeping quiet and not moving much while watching. Sometimes he'd pipe up to ask questions, especially if Diamond was dealing with an especially scary looking artifact. At worst he'd treat the tuft of fur at the end of his fathers tail as a toy if he got too bored.

Once FrigidHead was a bit older, Diamond decided to see if he'd take interest in helping him in studying and learning to use magical ancient artifacts. And for the most part, he took to it with great interest. It wasn't until Diamond finally told FrigidHex about his curse that Frigid began drifting from his fathers work. The ice wasn't easy ti live with. He'd sometimes wake up unable to move his
tail or legs because they became trapped in ice and he'd have to chip away at it. And it was always cold too. But sitting at fires felt so much more uncomfortable. He could only curl up and hope his body heat would be enough. It was awful, and he knew it. After having processed and thought about this new information, he decided what he'd wanna do with himself.

FrigidHex waited for the perfect moment before going to his father to tell him. He told Diamond he wanted to start learning about curses and hexes and how to cure/reverse them in hopes of one day being able to reverse his own curse. He just remembers Diamond smiling upon hearing this. He was happy his son had chosen a path to make the most of his power and learn instead of fight it. Diamond helped Frigid learn about a few common and easy to reverse curses and how to go about studying such dangerous things. He even helped him make a small area for him to practice these curses and learn about them.

Ever since then, FrigidHex has absolutely flourished in learning about all these different curses and cursed items. He's become well-versed in casting them and even more so in knowledge about curses. He loves learning how to twist the things around him in unusual ways. He's often found either in his study writing about curses he's learned about and how to reverse them or out in sites known to have all kinds artifacts. And he often does these artifact hunts alongside Diamond and his brother of blessings, Divinity.

He's known to hyperfocus on his work and it can be pretty hard to pull his away unless you're Arabelle. Ever since she came along, she's been the only one able to pull him away from his studying to remind him to eat or sleep. He adores the timid nocturne very much and finds her shyness very cute.

Long story short, cursed dragon does cursed things and loves his wife who has the personality of a marshmellow.

Sentinel was actually brought to life by FrigidHex himself practicing a curse on the armor. He ended up getting too attached to the armor to undo the curse so he took it on as a familiar. Sentinel doesn't seem like much to others, but it's very protective of FrigidHex as its maker and likes FrigidHex giving it attention.
