it takes a second for me to realize what she's really saying. maybe i've listened to it wrong all this time. maybe im more romantic now, maybe i'm looser. more willing to see. now it feels like an anthem. ill be content. ill watch the seconds tick by on a led screen, and ill listen a little better. so come closer baby. i want to see what youre made of. theres a shadowed voice, lighter and delicate, and it makes me think.


she's swept away by his tales of grandeur. she looks into his eyes and sees excitement and a lust for life, and it feels like dancing. it feels like happiness and it feels like freedom. she takes his hand. she follows his lead, and they begin to dance.
the glow in his eyes looks warm, but the angle of his mouth betrays nothing- except the sharp fangs hidden below a snaked tounge. she tries not to fear, but she can feel the power in his movements, and she knows if it came down to a fight, she would be easily outweighed. its romantic, in a sense, to be so tied up with danger. it seems everytime she knows her next move, she ends up swept along the current, doing something else. she finds she doesn't care who the mastermind is, doesn't care how many strings he pulls. she finds she also pulls the strings, though she doesn't care who they entangle. she is one with the stars and the moon. and should the day come she must return to them, she cares not when or how. only that it shall happen. or perhaps it wont. and if it doesn't, she will find a new purpose. or maybe not. maybe she has already served her purpose.
