Kailani was born and raised in clan lintu, and through her childhood was encouraged to read and learn of other flights. It was no surprise she was vying for ambassadorship the second she was grown enough to fit the role, only that the flight she wanted to be Representative to was... ice...
Being a coatl, she is unable to actually travel to the coldest parts of Southern Icefield and survive in its weather, but writes letters to ambassadors living there, and usually manages speak them into visiting the clan personally, which is quite a feat, considering that ice clans tend to be more reclusive than others.

Without a doubt kailani is silver tongued and knows the most about politics compared to any other flight ambassador, she knows exactly what to say to make her opponent fumble and reveal their plans, a rarely needed skill but a useful one. Kailani is very intelligent, but also a bit arrogant, she has very few friends since most find her cutting wit intimidating. Appearances are very important to Kailani, not as a sign of beauty or grace, but as a way to make people see her strength and influence. Despite the worries of some dragons, she doesn't desire to rule the clan. Kailani is actually very content in her current position and although she enjoys testing the other clan ambassadors, she sees they are needed to keep the balance.

On her free time Kailani visits the clan tailor to discuss new apparel. She also still enjoys her childhood hobby of reading, and sometimes on rare occasions visits Athras to listen to his gossip, which she finds rather entertaining.
