Ice Crystal ........................................... Glittering Bluesilver Torc

She awoke with same fury with which she had been put to slumber. Her muscles pulled hard on old chains, weakened with passage of time. They snapped, and with a roar she destroyed her prison, breaking free of the icy grave they had tried to trap her within for eternity. She burst out in a shower of snow and ice, and when it cleared, it revealed to her an unknown land. She knew not how long she had been asleep, but instinct told her that much time had passed, and that this world was no longer like her own.
Scanning the landscape, she saw a fae standing a little ways away from her. They sat calmly as she approached, snarling. She thought of killing them, but something stopped her. She could sense it, the touch of ice magic that was carried only by those chosen by the Icewarden. They were like her, then.
She too had been created to serve the Icewarden, but the other dragons had feared her ferocity, envied her power, and despised her unwillingness to bow to any other. They captured her, chained her and sealed her away within the Fortress of Ends. She had screamed in righteous fury until her voice was ruined, cursing the dragons who did this, the ones who orchestrated it, the ones who wanted it to happen, the Icewarden himself for allowing this betrayal. And now he has created another. This one was still, silent - dark ice in cold waters where she was roaring wind in a freezing storm.
She circled this other, watching as they turned their head to watch her but not their body, allowing her to pass behind unseen. She hissed at the insolence. They could sense it too, she knew, the Icewarden’s magic within her. But that did not make them the same. She would follow him no longer. She completed her circle standing before the fae once more. The fae stood. She immediately lifted her wings in challenge, but the fae made no move toward her, instead taking off in flight, heading to the mountains she had noticed in the distance. She watched as the other dragon’s form got smaller and smaller. Then she flapped her wings and pushed off the ice, flying after the tiny speck on the horizon.
She circled the area around the cave the fae had claimed for many days and nights. She saw the little gaoler that watched her with bright and clever eyes. She studied the behavior and routines of the others, and when she was satisfied she landed at the mouth of their cave and entered.
The gaoler was immediately curious, going up to her spouting with questions and information. The fae -Dissonance, apparently, as the gaoler, who introduced himself as Cetilaos, informed her- paid her little mind. They shared their food with her and did not comment on her intrusion. Even when she spoke and revealed her voice to be a shrieking, scraping mess, forever tinged by her anger, they did not react adversely. The gaoler continued to converse with her and the fae continued to be as unreadable as ever. She found the apparent acceptance unnerving, and suspicious. After a few days she left once more, this time choosing to travel out into the Icefields (Cetilaos had told her they were actually in the Southern Icefields now, because of how much the Icewarden’s territory had shrunken, but that would take her time to get used to) and explore the new world she had woken to.
She spent many months flying the vast skies. She witnessed many things, and learned of this new time. She found herself, as she once was, in the harsh and powerful storms that would ravage the land. They were the essence of her being made tangible, and she let it fill her as she flew through the storm.
She met a bird made of ice, touched with a familiar magic. She dashed it upon the rocks.
The next time it appeared, she ignored it.
But through all this time, she found herself going back to that cave. To that fae and that gaoler, and eventually also to the wildclaw. The little thing feared her, though she was not surprised. She had first caught a glimpse of them when she had followed a blizzard back to the Crags, and saw the cave buried under the avalanche. She had not gone to them then, simply watching from a distance as the fae led her clan to a new place. A few days later she appeared in their new territory. She said nothing, but left them some food, for the stores they had lost to the blizzard.
She stays there now, sleeping just outside their territory during the day and taking up watch at night.
