Julianna

Julianna's early life was fairly chaotic. From the moment she was born, she was dragged off to the market, and thrown in with a pile of other dragons. It was noisy, and scary, but some of the others made it a bit more bearable. In particular, she found a friend in a dragon named Selius, who kept her company, and understood the pain she experienced about the insults to her appearance. Her purple and brown was constantly under attack from many other dragons, saying she was ugly, and no one would want her. It was why her birth lair didn't want her.

And yet, then someone did want her. Both of them. She was brought home with a few others, some of who left sooner than she did. But she was called beautiful. Always, she was told she was worthy of love. That she had every right to be in a home that loved her.

It was here she grew, here she learned to be happy. She learned a lot about the world, and about what she loved. Julianna didn't take long to discover the library, and she spent almost all her time in there, or in her room with books she'd borrowed from it. She also learned to sew, a pastime she enjoyed almost as much as reading. She liked making blankets and decorations and plush toys the best. Clothes were just okay, but she liked that she could repair them. Cooking was fun, too, at times. Mostly, she liked making beautiful food rather than just normal food. It was science and art, but mostly, the art part was what she enjoyed.

She spent a long while there, honing her skills and her knowledge of the world. She loved to learn. It was this love of learning that eventually drove Julianna to want to leave. This place had been so kind to her, and she'd keep them always in her heart. But there were limits to what they could offer her. So she packed her things, and left for elsewhere.
