She was born to a wealthy family in a shadow clan. Ever since she was a hatchling, Saudade has had a passion for books and reading, and because of her status, she got all the books she desired. She would dream that one day she would have her own library, and that dream came true... in the worst way possible.

When Saudade heard that she would be in charge of running the library of the Anthill, she got excited, but her enthusiasm didn't take long to fade. She would dream that she would get to read all the books in the world, but now she only dreamt about the horrors that kept her awake at night. The book of ﾶﾉ丂ｲ was indeed a cursed one and Saudade regretted seeing every page of if. The stories about those horrid shapeshifters, the grotesque imagery that displayed every single abomination known to dragonkind... The thoughts alone made shivers run down her spine.

Her insomnia only got worse when her mate randomly disappeared during a mission, as she deduced that he had fallen victim to the merciless beasts displayed in that damn book. Only her and her superiors knew about the horrors of ﾶﾉ丂ｲ and because of the oath she swore, she couldn't tell anyone. Now, Saudade keeps her nightmares to herself and spends her nights awake, hoping that one day she will forget everything.
