~Backstory~

Cade spent most of his adult life among the Sunbeam Ruins. He was part of a prominent and ancient clan who were known for the famous warriors and heroes who lived there. No predator would dare to attack such a clan; for they would surely be torn to shreds. But that protection from harm faded the further from camp you were. Cade ventured a little too far one afternoon and was fatally wounded on his back right leg. The assailant chased the poor Coatl all the way through The Tangled Wood and deep into The Scarred Wasteland. Running that far on an injured leg led to many complications and a permanent limp. It took Cade a long time to travel to a safe home but he finally discovered a place to settle; right underneath the glowing stars.

Since Cade is now permanently crippled he can no longer venture back to his home land so he's trying to make the most of his new home in Arcane territory. There's not many roles a cripple can fill but he has found solace in archiving. It's a simple job; taking scrolls and filing them away or, if he's feeling up to it, even traveling to clans nearby and trading scrolls with them. But if he can't travel he always has Nectarine; his partner in the archiving business. He misses the days when he was an accomplished warrior but has settled into his simple life regardless.


Cade lost his hope for finding a mate the day he was told he was injured for life. But thankfully there are dragons that look beyond the outer surface into a dragon's heart. Ocean was that kind of dragon and the fact that Cade was crippled did not bother her; nor does it to this day. Together they've had many hatchlings and one actually lives among the clan with them. Their most recent born, Evangeline. She's kind of creepy and uninviting but the couple are just glad they can live among her and watch he grow up.

✘Cade is a former warrior but a fatal blow to his back right leg has left him with a permanent limp. He has trouble walking around because his injury is ✘ extremely bad but his Clanmates are always around to help. He had been injured in battle close to the Arcane border and was found, passed out, by Aria. She brought him back to camp and he healed up there and he decided to stay after that. Cade did have a family back in his former Clan but he's from the Sunbeam Ruins and the journey would be too much for his leg.
Aria has been taking care of him since he arrived and the two connect very well. Since his mobility is limited Aria will read to him and fill him in on the daily ongoings of the Clan (and all the latest gossip). But he can move around, for the most part, and so he has taken up archiving with Nectarine; because she can ✘use all the help she can get.✘
