There are few symbols of devotion to the Arcanist more noticeable than having His eyes. Those born with them are usually smart enough to keep in their benefactor’s good graces, making use of the knowledge He blesses his special-eyed children with. Sauternes is no exception to this, though she certainly has gone beyond playing it safe. Her entire life thus far has been dedicated to the Arcanist. Not in a religious sense, mind you, but in one that would most likely please Him the most - via research. Sauternes can recite just about every tale recorded regarding her patron, tracks His movements dutifully (as far as a God allows His creations to, at least), and has written extensively on his exploits, legends, and lore. She isn’t a one trick pony, and technically could give you a detailed overview about any of Sornieth’s gods...but talk to this mirror for a minute and it is clear who she favors.
