GemLapis

After a seven month freeze, Clan Starphire slowly got started with the business of re-entering the world of sornieth. A major part of that was GemLapis, braving her work to bring home food from what used to be her second home; the mire. Unfortunately, the mire had become a strange and unusual place, even a dangerous one, in the intervening time. And so, she went to do some research on the new monsters she had faced. Aleph had some guidance, but it was only the older guides, from before the clan went to sleep. Time to visit the library! It would seem that her battle tactics and stats would need adjusting to make it in this new version of her old haunt. One more heave for the strength, less of some other things. With a current read of STR 119, AGI 9, DEF 7, QCK 70, INT 5, VIT 13, and MND 7, it would take some doing.
But the clan could make some trades, find some young recruits who would pay treasure in exchange for the training and leveling they needed to go journey in aid of the Lightweaver. With this, GemLapis could acquire the tools needed to rework her strategy. And so, it starts again.

While struggling through the (and longest parts) of their trainings, Caecilius and GemLapis have decided to try and team up, and see if they can work their way through the swarms of mimics they encounter these days in the coliseum faster together than they had alone. To that point having someone to lean on was not new to GemLapis, as she'd worked with a partner in the gn0me clan. Having a healer at her back was refreshing. She didn't have to flee non mage packs as much. But ultimately, it was decided that for Caecilius to truly aid her, he would need a Rally stone. So Starfall, Aleph and Chaska conferred and agreed to give him one from the clan's vault. And now they set out, blues and golds shining, to see if this bit of fine-tune work has made them better able to work together, instead of just side by side. 2020.12.28.
