Shritning

The work of the false ambassadors was rather simple, but no less dangerous. Shritning's mission was a delicate balance between posing as an ordinary citizen of Goldensparc, subtly stealing information on all the latest Lightning Flight technology, and avoiding the eyes of the Stormcatcher.

The first task was easy enough. The shadeling's guise was perfectly-suited to pass as a true lightning dragon. The second task became trickier. In the lightning farms' hectic work environments, it wasn't too difficult to slip a scroll or blueprint while no one was looking. But the closer she got to the Tempest Spire, the more danger there was present.

That's when the third task comes into play. Shritning can never draw too close to the Spire itself; the Stormcatcher would undoubtedly see through the guise and his minions could take notice if she lingered on the outskirts. She'd had plenty of close encounters throughout her mission. The Tempest Spire was where the most powerful and innovative technology was kept, however. Shritning considered the risk to be worth the reward.

The Shade was quite fond of this boldness.
