This is fine, she thinks. It’s been four days since the last time she’s moved but she’s not cold. She’d thought ahead and worn a scarf this time. Her legs are a little sore, sure, but she also wore her compression socks and they’re doing wonders for her circulation. So, really, she’s doing better off this time than she did last time.

Last time… well, let’s not talk about last time.

How can she possibly move when these adorable little creatures have chosen her to perch on? She can’t bear the thought of disrupting her tiny newfound friends as they idly chatter to each other, fluttering from one horn to another. Sure, their voices are an octave below screeching and they have little regard for the dust they scatter on her hide as they preen the dirt from their feathers, but she doesn’t mind. Goodness, no, she can’t betray the trust that they’ve put in her.

Even if it’s been four days.

And her feet are groaning for reprieve.

This is fine, she thinks contently, continuing her statuesque stillness even as her tummy grumbles in protest.
