For years, Rowan was alone. For ages, he meditated on the land that gave him life. How long exactly, even he doesn't know. But it has been a long, long time. He doesn't remember his parents, or if he even had them in the first place. It doesn't feel like he did.

Hidden away in cave only accessible to him, he didn't see or speak to another dragon for decades before Sanguine found him, responding to the call of his blood that guided him back home. The land whispered his name to Rowan, who was curious to see this child of prodigy for himself, but was surprised to find a weathered warrior, who had ran from his own blood's power for a long time.

Reinciting Sanguine's lust to fight for what was rightfully his, Rowan found himself drawn to the ridgeback in more ways than one. When Sanguine had left Rowan's hideout, Rowan gave life to their legacy, four children, bathed in the light of a rare blue moon, on the eve of the Riot of Rot.

It would prove life changing for Rowan, who never really considered the idea of parenthood, but he took to it naturally. He loves all his children equal, raising them the only way he knows how. He taught them the magic of the land as well as he could. When Sanguine returned he was understandably surprised, but did not shirk his duty. He helped Rowan raise the children, and they in turn gave him a reason to fight.

With all but one kid flying the nest, Rowan now finds himself unwilling to return to his previous life of solitude, wanting to assist Sanguine with his burdens, and in the process, become his own dragon, with his own goals and purpose. But for now, he is happy at the side of his new mate.
